Author's Note

I never liked drawing the same character more than once. Every panel was a fresh chance to get Nobita's hair wrong, or Doraemon's tail pointing the wrong way. But manga doesn't work if you only draw the first panel and then quit.

This story is about finishing things even when they're hard. Nobita isn't naturally good at that. Neither am I, if I'm honest. But the rocket doesn't fly because you're talented. It flies because you keep working, even on the days when it feels impossible.

I think most important things are like that.
